How weatherproof are the Montezuma triangle boxes?

In the process of planning for the flatbed on my truck(F450 with 9ft bed) for a farm service truck. My question is how weatherproof are the Montezuma boxes? This truck will be outside 24/7 and driven in crappy weather, and i'd rather not spend $700 on a box and another $1k in tools for it to get...

M18 Fuel excessive for home/farm use?

Looking at getting a nice set of power tools for personal use. On my service truck and in the shop i've got all M12 and M18 Fuel tools, but those were work tools so cost wasn't a factor. Dragging tools back and forth is getting old, and you can never really have too many so i might as well do...

Removing barn paint from stone foundation

Fiance and i are getting married in my grandparents bank barn this summer. It was built in the late 1800's/early 1900's(some discrepancies in the records), my grandparents have been raising cattle and putting hay in it since 1958 and we are hoping to take over and continue the family farm...

Homak RS Pro Tool Boxes ON SALE

FWIW you can get these cheaper through Napa. And the RS Pro boxes are leaps and bounds better than HF or Masterforce, can't comment about the other Homak boxes.

    Thoughts on Milwaukee Axis jackets?

Haven't seen much talk about the Axis gear yet, and curious if anybody has some feedback. I picked up a jacket fall 2016 and love it, and of course the GF is jealous and wants her own. She has horses and my family farms/works outside so we're in the elements a lot and she hates being cold. From...

    Mid Tier Socket Set Suggestions

IMO when on sale Carlyle is the best bang for your buck tools on the market. Lifetime warranty at any Napa store, albeit most things will have to be ordered in but my stores get everything next day. I picked up a set of mid-depth chrome sockets last month and absolutely love them, haven't used...

Tree root ball under new slab

Dig it out, get an excavator with a thumb so you can grab the roots and pull them out. Grinding stumps is a cheap/hack way to do it and causes nothing but problems. Stump grinders are the devil.

    Homak RS-Pro 72" Tool Box

Sorry to hear you guys are having issues getting boxes, it took a while to get mine but my store manager kept me in the loop of everything. But i'm sure it helps that we have a commercial account so i'm in Napa at least once a week.

    Homak RS-Pro 72" Tool Box

72" with SS top is back for $1399 in all colors, and they also have a 54" with SS top as well for $899. I'm still loving my orange 72", really wish i had the funds to pick up a matching roll cart but the GF and I bought a $30k camper this summer so my tool funds are a bit dry. :headscrat

Suggestions for "cheap" fleet maintenance program

Currently looking for something to make my shop life a little less stressful. I'm in a family business and i'm in charge of all our maintenance along with some other trucks/equipment/trailers from landscapers we work with. In total i'm responsible for 7 trucks, 4 SUV's, 4 skid steers, 2...

    Homak RS-Pro 72" Tool Box

Yep, probably the best value on the market right now. Fit and finish is very nice, drawers all open and latch easily, lifetime warranty, and i really like the drawer layout. So much nicer than the 56" HF box it replaced. Now i just need to get a matching orange cart to replace my black 5 drawer...

How to control bugs in a farm shop?

Looking for some ideas to make it a less of a nuisance to be in the shop at night. The shop is roughly 50x70x16, with large doors on the north and east sides, on a working cattle/hay/grain farm. The shop is heated but no A/C so in the warm months the doors are always open. Problem is at night...

So what do you wear when working on cars

In our off months(we install and service lawn irrigation systems) i'm in the shop wrenching 40-50+ hours a week fairly often. I finally decided to buy my own set of shirts to wear in the shop and i couldn't get happier. I went with Red Kap mechanics shirts, 5 long sleeve and 5 short. They have...

    Homak RS-Pro 72" Tool Box

Interesting. I'm still waiting for word on my orange 72", may have to give them a call tomorrow and see whats up. My sales guy was told by the franchise manager that they would be in late April/early May. Unfortunately for me i'm working basically 7-7 everyday and the Napa i deal with closes at...
