    Mezzanine and joist span help?

Mine is a mix of freestanding, and attached the the building for support. Vertically it is completely supported by its own posts, I have attached it to the building where possible just cause.

    Mezzanine and joist span help?

2x12x16 can be spanned 16' on 16" centers for a 20lb dead load, 100lb live load. 12" center is probably overkill for your span. Attaching your joists is exactly how I built mine. For the post on the floor how thick is the floor currently? For my mezzanine I just pinned a 6x6 post onto the...

How to strip off uncured epoxy

Nope, I used it as a Mortar. The product is basically epoxy, you just mix it with an aggregate. I ended up stripping the stuff down to the concrete, and just used another epoxy floor coating I had, mixed it with sand, and it setup in 8 hrs. No issues at all.

How to strip off uncured epoxy

I am super confused here. I ordered this from you. I was shipped a 5 gallon bucket with a bit less than 2.5 gallons of Part A, and a 1 gallon can a bit more than 1/2 gallon in it. I am not an installer, just a guy who ordered this off your website As for the mix here is what is on the can...

How to strip off uncured epoxy

I spent a bit of time thinking about this over the weekend while trying to get this off the floor and has really left me wondering. I've been using Epoxy and Catalyzed lacquers for a few years with good results on automotive and wood applications where the mix is critical. I have never heard...

How to strip off uncured epoxy

Well, I dont know what to think about this stuff. I spent a good amount of my weekend trying various things. After getting rather ticked off at my results I hosed it down with water to try to clean it up, then I hit it with the floor grinder to try to wet grind it off, this seemed to be the most...

    I need concrete advise

You get 1 shot with concrete, a shop is not a good learning platform in my opinion. Fibermesh is not a replacement for steel in the slab, fiber will help with small hairline cracks, in my opinion it is a waste of money, stepping up to 4000psi mix is a better value. If you do go fibermesh you...

How to strip off uncured epoxy

Well, I guess Ill get to scraping, I spent 3 hours today and barely put a dent in it. I fired up the grinder and that just gummed up the dymacerts. I just cant figure out how I would have messed up the mix, my last batch left me with 0 parts of A and B leftover, so if no excess of either...

How to strip off uncured epoxy

I should clarify- None of the different batches I mixed setup, it is all tacky, some spots are more tacky than others, in some spots I can just leave a finger print, in other spots it will stick to my fingers. Ill get to scraping for now, I spread it out over a pretty large area, so this is...

How to strip off uncured epoxy

I am not looking to bash any product here, I am not sure where the screw up occurred, just need to fix this mess... I laid down 3 gallons of Legacy HD110 Floor Patch mixed at 2 parts epoxy to 1 part washed/dried silica sand, the stuff never setup. It is still tacky 3 days later. I mixed 2 qt...

Parking area: #57 Gravel or Crush-n-Run?

Crusher run density is usually around 2800lbs/yd Because everyone calls road base a different name depending upon where you are, I refer to it as "3/4 minus", which means 3/4" material and smaller, the density for something like this is usually around 2700lbs/yd I personally prefer 3/4 minus...

Sweaty Floor, Trying to Lay out plan to fix

I used to live in Platteville, and had the exact same issue on my floor. The first step is to fix all of the drainage issues around your slab, and the mortar joints, this probably isnt where your issue lies, but should be repaired first. Next step is to make sure the floor is sweating due to...

The Old Man's Farm - Priddis, AB

Looks like an awesome place! My experience is pretty limited with solar, but the "off grid" solar systems I have been around require some pretty large batteries, especially if you are planning on operating power tools like a table saw. Batteries are expensive, and require replacement/maintenance...

    Looking to epoxy my floor

This X2. My old shop in WI did this every spring, there was no stopping it apart from heating the slab in the wintertime. I nearly broke my neck on multiple occasions on that floor in the spring time, I would imagine an epoxy coating would only decrease the friction on the floor.
