I'm located in the PNW and it's in the mid 30's these days. My shop has a 4 foot concrete pony wall, after doing some google searching it's a R-2. We went to Home Depot and they have R-13.1 Foam Insulation Board for $40 each, we would need about 20 sheets but that would get us to an R-15 more...

I was just off 101 and Silver Creek Rd, but that was about 20 years ago. We just left the Bay Area and move out side of Seattle. big house and huge work shop.

Also: PEX A, B, or C don't use "C" A is very flexible but may leave a plastic taste in your water. B is stiffer but no plastic flavor, which is what I used.

I picked up Kobalt socket set a year back, they seam ok but the lever that reverses the ratchet moves easy and is pain to keep in the right location. maybe they have fixed it since then.

Evergreen doesn't have them. Our engineer called out shear walls, and the nail schedule 10d 3 inch on center and 12 inch in the field. The house is 3 stories, second and third floor has huge glass walls.

How do I install the interior shear wall correctly? I have 3 areas that I need to add an interior shear wall, the ceiling is over 8 feet. Do I hang the CDX vertical then add the 1-2 feet above? Do I need to add blocking or anything special? Thanks, Jeff

I was lucky, I was able to build my shop before we broke ground on the house. This gave us time to redesign the house from my dream of 800 sq/ft to the wife's design of 2500 sq/ft 3 story house. Go small in the house.
