Thanks for the insight everyone... 6768rogues, curious do you know which model Reznor you have? does it have a blower like the one below or do you think I can save some $ and go with just a standard, like the second link. thanks! Blower Model...

    Heating a 50' x 80' x 14' pole barn

I really don't need separated combustion, just worried that since the building is tight if negative pressure will become an issue... no idea, again too much time reading online I did think about doing 2-75kBTU, really wouldn't be that much more $ other than additional piping, etc. Biggest draw...

    Heating a 50' x 80' x 14' pole barn

Hi Everyone, Need some opinions on how to "best" heat my shop. Some background: Located in SE Wisconsin so winters can get nasty. Menards building but pretty well insulated. 2" of spray foam on the walls with R19 batts over that finished in steel. Ceiling has R38 and also finished in...

    Condensation Conundrum

Thanks for the response, Jess No underlayment, just the steel panels mounted directly to the purlins which is pretty standard construction for pole barns in this part of the world. There is soffit venting along with a ridge vent so the attic space will be able to breathe.

    Condensation Conundrum

Hi All, Finishing off the interior of my 50' x 80' pole barn located in South Eastern Wisconsin. Side walls are 14' which we spray foamed with 2" of closed cell and added r-19 blankets to get to best of both worlds. I must say, the spray foam really stiffened up the structure and sealed out...

    Concrete Gone Wrong

Naturalgas, did you do the pour or contractor? just curious what they had to say about it. 7 months sounds pretty permanent as I can't imagine it would still be curing. Mine told me full cure in 25-30 days.

I sincerely hope you are correct... that would be such a relief. How long typically would this take to even out?

    Concrete Gone Wrong

Hi everyone, Looking for some advice.... Background - 50 x 80 shop and just had 5" of high PSI crete with rebar and fiber mesh poured about 2 weeks ago. Highly reputable concrete contractor in my area did the job and the contract was for a hard trowel finish and sealed. Finally had time to...

    Calling all you Concrete Pros

Thanks everyone... the approach will be brushed for traction, just the inside hard troweled. The heaviest thing I own today is a skid steer and CUT John Deere so I think 5" will be more than sufficient.

    Advice on Gutters

Thanks Bruce, no offense to the great state of Alaska but if you can get it cheaper up there than what I'm being quoted "down here" I'm getting ripped off :) Another guy coming out tomorrow...

    Calling all you Concrete Pros

Hi Everyone, Getting ready for "da pour" and finalizing selection on a concrete contractor. Looking for a quick sanity check on pricing. My project is a big one, 50x80 pole barn with 5" of 4000psi crete with Fiber 300 and 6x6 "10/10" mesh. In addition, I have a 30x50 approach that will be the...

    Advice on Gutters

Thanks Red, probably my own ignorance talking. I assumed the 80' piece was too long for one continual pitch so it would pitched both ways starting in the middle and fabricated to support that.. Not a gutter guy so learning here dw1, thanks for sharing the prices you were quoted and price...
