I’m sorry, I have to bring this one back to the top. I also live here in Cincinnati and I am truly inspired by this garage and what you’ve done with it. There's a lot of really great history here in Cincy and I think too many people here have already forgotten that. Good luck on the rest of...

    Show me your ANVIL

when you are on Criagslist keep your eye on the "antique" section also. A lot of people believe anvils to be antiques not tools. :headscrat and also try "searchtempest.com"

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Yeah it's pretty cool. The rear jaw is removable/ajustable. You are able to move it back and forth as needed. In the pic you really can't tell but it has saw tooth like features under the face plate of the anvil, and opposite saw teeth under the rear jaw. Also it can be used as a pipe vise, by...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

I just pick this one up at a swap meet. This Anvil/vise was patented on Jan 15 1895 by the Farwell/Adams Co. in Dubuque, Iowa.

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Anyone ever heard of a 6" jawed, 98LB, "Massey's E&K"? It has a patent date of May 11 1880, and has several "96"s stamped into it at various places. So, it is either model 96 or was manufactured in 1896 (true???) Well any way, I just got one off of CL and i am in love with it. It is a...
