    Wilton Vise Paint

I just got a 1948 production bullet 935. I’m trying to find the safe green rust oleum satin without luck. Has anyone else found another color that is close to the original hospital green color for the old ones?

    Breathing air from a compressor

No way I’d want output from an oiled compressor in my breathing path. Since the humidity gets knocked out upon compression, Is suspect that air dryness might be a consideration.

    Zoning for standalone garage

Appreciate the advice. I live in NJ, in the Philadelphia suburbs. Gloucester county seems like my best bet for access and taxes, notionally along the I-295 corridor.

Me too. That farm rated land is looking better and better.

    Zoning for standalone garage

If only I was 30! I’m getting on the farther end of my 30s... and no heat or bathroom still doesn’t bother me. If I were to install, say, heat, it would be in my 2-car detached, so that I could easily go out my back door and do something in my local garage in the winter. The key is to...

    Zoning for standalone garage

Great feedback. As mentioned above, love where we live and don’t want to move. Have a two car garage, but want to be able to store 4-6 other cars and maybe a few other things in a building (none worth terribly much beyond sentimental value; it’s not like I’m keeping $100k muscle cars there)...

    Zoning for standalone garage

I live in suburbia, in a good school district with a short commute for my wife and I, and a walking district so my kids don’t have to take a bus. Not interested in giving any of that up. But I already have a detached two car garage and a shed - no space for a giant outbuilding. Not...

    Zoning for standalone garage

Good insight, thanks. I am specifically looking to build an uninhabitable structure - a pole barn or steel building, between 30x40 and 30x60. The key I think is that it’s uninhabitable. But that’s where I start to get hung up on how to explain it to zoning. I want a warehouse for...

    Zoning for standalone garage

Im in my 30s. 10 years of rent doesnÂ’t seem to be a very good proposition since IÂ’d hope IÂ’m able to mess around with cars and tinker on things well into my 70s, or beyond. And what IÂ’m looking for is fairly no frills. DonÂ’t want to even have HVAC, or large amounts of power. No need...

    Zoning for standalone garage

I know there’s a lot of discussion on zoning on here, but I haven’t been able to find what I’m looking for. I also know that zoning is highly local (I’m in NJ), and I’ve read all the local ordinances and whatnot, but I’m trying to get ready to talk to zoning officers, so I’d appreciate insight...

QuickJack - for those of you wondering

I agree. I'm sure there is continuous improvement however. I've always wanted an Ez car lift, but was always concerned about being limited by the cross bars and the rollers, if it isn't in smooth concrete. This system seems to resolve both, though I'd guess it is Chinesium?? Does anyone...

QuickJack - for those of you wondering

Would that put all the "reverse" hydraulic pressure (due to gravity) on the quick disconnect instead of keeping the hydraulic system balanced? I get it that there's a mechanical lock in there, but does that actually hold the mass?

    Blackhawk & Proto tool review

I recently made a purchase via mcmaster carr, and ordered two 17mm 1/2" drive, 6 pt sockets. When they arrived (with a bunch of impact stuff that was all proto professional or Armstrong), they were stamped blackhawk USA. I find it kind of hard to believe that mcmaster would still be selling...

    Snap on ratcheting interchangeable screwdrivers

I was picking up a crowfoot at the snap on truck today, and on a whim, bought a ratcheting screwdriver with the interchangeable shanks. Seems to me that the ratchet is in the handle, and the shank just has a standard square drive. Anyone know how much torque these can practically handle...
