    odd moisture issue in the garage looking for some advice

    When I had the plumber put a ventless heater in my garage, he told me I was making a mistake going ventless, but I wouldn't listen. A year later, I had him come back and put in a vented one, what a difference, no more rusted tools from humidity generated by that heater. Live and learn.

    Chipmunks have chewed through the bottom weatherstripping on my door and i can't figure out how to repair it. It looks like maybe the material could slide in from the end, don't know if this would work or not. There is no way to access the screws that I can see. The little buggers have also...

    My house has the outside garage wall covered in sheetrock with no insulation, and since I want to heat it, whats the cheapest solution to inslate? I've got more time than money. I hate to pull off the rock if I don't have to.

    Thanks, John. We're moving back to Cary, where we used to live before retiring to the country, out near Galena. Sad to leave there but time marches on. Where did you buy your heater and how is installed?

    Having to downsize workshop. am moving where I'll only have half of the garage to work in, with no outside wall for a thru-the wall heater. How small/good would a ceiling unit be? I do have natural gas available. I'm located in northwest Illinois(nice and cold).

    Am thinking of adding on the back of a house, which is on a slab, for a 12 x 18 workshop, located in the Chicago area. Someone mentioned running pex in the slab, to be heated by a 30 gal water heater. I'd appreciate any info/experience with this system.

    My 30year old twin tank Emglo started leaking air b adly a couple months ago. I was not very good at draining off the moisture and it let me know about it.
