Thanks for the reply. I did the math. I'm selling it for scrap to buy a lot more romex than this wire.
But can you go into depth about why it will fail? I can't see any way it wouldn't hold up in a 30A circuit. I am saving a few foot for rewiring a few trailers

I will be using a professional. I am simply learning the in's n out's of the system.
I have found that the house building/ construction folks in my area have a very "my way or no way" approach.
Ask a guy selling wood log furnaces about his units. His reply is mine is the best. Everyone else...
Thanks for the info guys. I did some pricing at the scrap yard. I get $1.20/lb for this wire. 100ft of this wire will get me a ton of romex. So I'm gonna save some for rewiring trailers and sell the rest.
Just out of curiosity, what makes this unsafe compared to romex? We were talking about...
The one shop I worked on trucks in w/ a heated floor had this problem.
Although I do not know the age of the system.
I figure it's only ball valves on each circuit.
Thank you for the input.
Any more info would be greatly appreciated.
Right now my old shop has absolutely no heat. So as...
The hot box effect is being under a truck with the floor on. It traps the heat and makes it very uncomfortable.
I understand the floor doesn't cool off fast but it would be one of those things where we plan the spot and turn off one zone hours before.
Thanks for the reply

Thanks for the reply.
What's the difference between the stuff I got and the romex? Obviously my stuff has lots of little wires and the romex is a solid strand.
Any difference in how it works??
Thanks so much guys

I got a few spools of copper cable today. I should have a few thousand foot of it. It's control wire from an electrical utility.
The info on the wire is as follows:
Rome CT-B control cable 4/C 10 AWG CU 600 volts
Here is a pic.
This will be for indoor use. Although the utilities use it for...
