What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Looks great. I need to do something similar for my smoker and grill.

Did a bit of cleaning. Still need to clear off the bench in the back and organize the fasteners. That alone is probably 3-4 days worth of work.

Garage Cabinet Build - Advice Needed

Here you go. Posted by a member here. I've built a couple of these cabinets and they are quite easy to do. My Home Depot even has a prefinished ply that's pretty good for $45. https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=186358

    Lets see your workbench

Dirty already, but 4'x6' assembly table is completed. Doubles as tablesaw outfeed table. Have an air compressor in the closest cabinet powered by the switch. French cleats on the closest end for hanging stuff. Drawers and doors on opposite side identical to the shown side.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Installed drawers on the garage workbench tonight. Drawer fronts and handles will be tomorrow. Then it's just putting a solid wood edge band all the way around to protect the OSB/hardboard edges and it's finished. Need to stop by HF and pick up more bins to fill it out. In the woodworking...

    Wood Planers? Powermatic or Grizzly?

From what I gather, most people start to line up around 5am. So, if you are in the parking lot and ready to go, you can hop out early and be one of the first in line. Personally, I would make the trip to do it. I plan on doing it at the bellingham warehouse when I decide I'm ready for the next tool.

    Wood Planers? Powermatic or Grizzly?

If you can make it to Springfield on June 9th, go to the Grizzly tent sale. https://www.grizzly.com/tent-sales You realistically need to show up the evening before, and get in line crazy early. But, you will get a nice planer for 1/2-2/3rds the cost, without having to pay for freight. Could...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

More work done on the garage workbench. Made the cabinet that goes underneath to hold parts bins today. Center section will be getting drawers. Still need to cut the 1/4" ply dividers to separate the cases.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Got most of a workbench built for the garage. Moved all the woodworking tools to the shop out back a while ago so now I need to get the garage set up. Just a single car but it's better than nothing. Going to make some cabinets to go underneath, put a hardboard top on, and some edging around...

Made a storage cabinet for the shop. Also hung up some clamps. Next up is a workbench for the garage and an assembly table for the shop.

Should I Install An Expansion Tank?

Current code most areas say that you have to have a backflow preventer valve and an expansion tank. You really don't want to have any water being pushed back to the street. I re-plumbed my whole house last year. It's easy enough to add and not expensive. Maybe $150-200 tops for everything.

    PEX or PVC

I used Pex-B. Mostly because the price was right and it had the most reviews on supplyhouse's website. It also comes in white which I use for mixed hot/cold after the shower diverter valves.

    PEX or PVC

The reasoning behind doing 3/8" tubing is that you have less water to clean out before you get hot water. Twice as much water in a 1/2" line as there is in a 3/8". That's twice as much waste. At most I waste about 2 quarts of water before it gets hot on the sinks. Short runs and as small of...

    PEX or PVC

Do Pex, in a home run manifold style setup. The Viega manifolds aren't cheap, but it's not that much more expensive than other manifolds once you add valves to the cheaper ones. https://www.supplyhouse.com/Viega-51618-1-2-3-8-18-Port-Combination-Crimp-MANABLOC In a home run system, you would...

    HF Trailers no more??

I bought one just before the recall went out apparently, and took my time assembling it so it wasn't registered until mid-end November. Haven't received a notice, but I'll swing by a store with the wheels at some point.
