Thanks Phil. I have used these to control items plugged into an outlet but I am looking to be able to switch on a light circuit - maybe something like a relay. I also think the range is an issue.

I would like to find a way to use a switch to control a soffit light circuit on a detached garage that is on a separate electrical service. The detached garage is approximately 100 feet from the house and not in a clean line of site. I have read other similar searches but they did not address...
