    my 30x60 shop

no, mainly due to the location of the house and garage. i could have moved it back about 60-70 feet, but then i'd have $20k or more in driveway (wouldn't want to do rock), and i would have taken a huge chunk of the backyard away from the kids and dogs (which was the other reason for buying the...

    floor coating question "when"

your best bet would be to contact the company of the product you will be using. nobody can answer better than they could.

    Collector Car Garage/Chicken Barn

can't say i've ever seen a chicken coupe with an upstairs! i really like the "patina" display as well.

    my 30x60 shop

been awhile, but here are a few more pics. my oldest son helped me get the siding started (5 years old). i also added a small "driveway/parking spot" on the front of the building. this will see some sort of decorative rock next spring. i figure that will look better than white rock if nothing is...

    T8 fixtures - plug-in or hardwire?

i've decided to go the plug in route in my shop. i figure if there is ever any problem, i can just unplug and bring the light down to the ground to repair or replace. i'm not an electrican by any means, so simple is better for me.

    vent/fan

we have a fan setup at work that is a dayton, so i checked into their stuff. looks pretty good, i'll probabally go with them. i know what you mean by the flapping in the wind, that gets real annoying, expecially when real windy! i think i could come up with some sort of setup to save my sanity.

    vent/fan

in case anybody cares, i called the company, and they replyed that their fan would not last if i mounted it vertically. the bearings would not hold up.

    anybody seen this before.......

i thought the same thing. it is only one brick thick, and it is connected with the anchors. my dad suggested small strips on each side of each 2x4 close to the brick, and then put in plywood. that way i could insulate, put up plastic, and there would still be a small area for water to run down...

    anybody seen this before.......

no living space on the other side, just the back yard. i do know the house has sheating and blackjack on it before the brick, just not sure why they didn't do it on the garage.

    anybody seen this before.......

already thought of that. i does have a neat studio feel to it, but it gets cold. my plans are insulation, osb, and white paint, but i could always get 4x8 sheets of fake brick and put on there.

    anybody seen this before.......

so i did a little drywall removal in my attached garage to better run some wiring, etc. to the new garage, and this is what i found. the house was built in the early to mid sixties, and i figured there was no insulation (by the way, there was no insulation), but to see brick was a little...

    vent/fan

looked at a large house fan tonight at menards by the company air vent inc. anybody know if something like that would be able to be mounted vertically instead of horizontally? i called and left a message with the company.

    vent/fan

i'm familiar with the concept of having to let air in at the same time. we have this same type of system at work, and we just open a walk thorugh door on the opposite side of the room. works pretty good. i'm also aware that a lot of systems i've seen will probabally have the flap in the wind...

    vent/fan

i have a 30x60 building with a 15 foot vaulted ceiling. i'm looking to put a fan up in the peak on one side of the building to help aid with welding smoke, heat, etc. does anybody have any suggestions on where to get a good quality unit? something that seals decent when not in use (for winter)...
