Lets make an all vintage Snap-on tool picture thread!

I was wondering who might have made it. Prior to acquiring Balco they didn't have anyone that could build such a thing, at least not the I know of. Thanks for this! Joe

Lets make an all vintage Snap-on tool picture thread!

I had a friend just send me this. It's in great shape. Even powers on. I didn't know Snap-on has a scanner before the MT2500.

another What The Heck is this tool?

It looks like a tool to do the left/right bends on the teeth of a circular saw blade. It would be used after sharpening the saw. Joe

    VW 1.9L TDI timing tools

It's nice to have the whole kit but you can get by with just the cam holder. It'll be interesting to see what it looks like inside. Post pics. Joe

I am new here what are sep snap on prices.

Yes. Changing schools is not a problem. Just contact the Snap-on guy that covers that school to set him up there. Students don't have to buy everything at once, and it doesn't have to be done at a single school. Joe

Any experience with harbor freight hoses?

Mine has held up fine. Had it probably 8 years in my old house. I bought it again for my new shop last year. No complaints. Joe

    Garage door width

I've got a 10 foot door that I navigate regularly in and out of my shop, but if I had it to do over I would put in a 12 footer. The extra room would be nice. I would definitely not ever go less that 10. Joe

What cleaner/fluid are you guys using in your parts washers?

Mineral Spirits are great, but the price is not too attractive on it now. Kerosene is a pretty close alternative. I've used it on the past without any troubles. I'd do it again. Joe

    Snap On Vantage Pro

If you try it, you are going to end up with 2 non-working Vantage Pros. They will display "Security Error" or something similar. You will be able to fix them by purchasing new updates for both of them. Joe

    Driveability techs and oscilloscopes

I'm a big fan of lab scopes. I've owned one since I first started working on cars. My first one was a portable Techtronix that had a 3.5" screen and took 10 D Cell Batteries. I sure got a lot of use out of it in the 80's and early 90s. I have graduated to different scopes now, but I need them...

    Auto tech tool help

Remember that Craftsmen does not warranty tools if used professionally. There is an easy way around that, but you probably won't get your tools replaced if you are dressed in your work clothes. Joe
