    Problem with MaxJax anchor install

16 days old. It was 5000psi concrete with a rating of 3500psi at 7 days so I figured I was good to go. I think the problems have more to do with the design of the anchor sleeve. I think the new design with the "barbs" would have worked just fine. That's evidenced by me using 2 of them...

    Problem with MaxJax anchor install

I thought of another option, but I'm not sure it will work. I could bang the anchor down then enlarge the top few inches of the hole and try and pull the anchor up. Then I could use an epoxy anchor in it's place. I know I saw 1" drill bits at HD, I wonder if an additional 1/8" would give me...

    Problem with MaxJax anchor install

Thanks, I had read that before I even started. That is the procedure I used. The only thing I can think of is the hole got enlarged somehow. The drill bit was brand new and had only drilled 6 holes, but perhaps that was enough to put the holes out of tolerance.

    Problem with MaxJax anchor install

I need some advice. After I discovered that my floor was different thicknesses (ranging from 3" to 3.75") I cut and poured 2 3'x3'x12" pads for the posts. It'll be obvious why I'm mentioning this. Prior to even ordering the lift I had purchased 3 of the PD58 anchors from Drillspot and...

    Liftmaster 3800

Someone else will have to chime in as to how to check the springs as I haven't dealt with installing new ones. Maybe they just need an extra turn, but you'd think the contractor would have done it properly...

    Liftmaster 3800

It sounds as though the springs are not sized properly for the weight of your doors. You shouldn't have to expend significant amount of upward force to open them as the springs are designed to alleviate much of the door's weight. I would imagine the 3800 is having some difficulty with the...

    Maxjax group buy?

I actually didn't try to "deal" at all. I just had them give me prices for everything and they ended up being less than their internet prices. The reason I called in the first place was to determine shipping options and see if they could match the Costco price on the MaxJax. They sure did...

    Maxjax group buy?

I purchased my MaxJax at the end of November for $1899 from GES (arriving today!). So even without a group buy you can save some money from them. At the same time I also purchased the seat and oil drain for less than they advertise on their website. All it takes is a phone call!
