does any one fill the tube with silica sand before bending? seems to help

any ideas for a torch holder, (so you don't have to sit it down every time- or so you hold something with both hands and heat/bend)

anyone know where I could get a rosebud torch for my older craftsman torch? the inside is stepped & tapered but has no "O" rings, the screw on piece is aprox 13/16 dia:D
