    Distance allowedof feeder inside

Here are some NEC (2011 anyway) requirements. There doesn't seem to be a hard length requirement, only that "The disconnecting means shall be at a readily accessible location nearest the point of entrance of the conductors." 225.31 Disconnecting Means. Means shall be provided for disconnecting...

    Shopmaster Bandsaw parts

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't know any bearing shops around here but will check McMaster Carr and Grainger.

    Shopmaster Bandsaw parts

I just got my uncle's old Shopmaster MC-100 band saw (I'm guessing from the 1970's) made in Eden Prairie, MN. I have the manual with the full parts list but Google is coming up with absolutely nothing for Shopmaster parts. I would like to replace the blade guide rollers. Any ideas on where I...

    Husky impact wrench

Here's my 50' cord-reel and little compressor :) I really love the ZillaReel. Flexible in cold weather and good air flow through it.

    Sunex Sockets

I will only use a fraction of what is in the set and may have to buy a 36mm for axle nuts. I don't understand why they (meaning most tool companies) start 1/2" drive sets all the way down at 10mm. I just can't think of any reason to use 1/2" drive much over 15mm.

    Wiring connondrum

I agree with your friend putting in two junction boxes and running new romex between. I had to do something similar in my basement. Like pattenp said though they must be accessible by NEC code. If it's finished, you will have to put in some kind of access panel.

    Husky impact wrench

I recently upgraded from a $30 HF impact to an Ingersoll Rand 231C. It buzzes off the lugnuts on my van (95ft-lb) no problem. The HF impact wouldn't touch them. My compressor setup isn't optimal either. 15gallon, 3.5scfm @ 90psi, and a 50' 3/8" hose reel. It really impressed on me the...

Connecting compressor pump to tank check valve.

With compressors we mount in RV's for suspension air we use 3/8" Teflon hose in to ferrule fittings. I've seen standard hose burst from the heat generated right out of the compressor.

    Sunex Sockets

Just got my new set of Sunnex metric deep sockets from Tooltopia. Already whizzed off a few lug nuts to test them out. For the price, they sure come in a sturdy case (which could be a little smaller IMO). The extension and universal were purchased separately and fit nicely into the two extra...

    Impact wrench / socket question

I just bought a new Ingersoll Rand 231C impact wrench to replace my $30 HF gutless wonder. Can't believe I put up with that for all these years. Also have a set of Sunex deep sockets coming from Tooltopia. Question is with the different retaining systems. My IR has no pin or ball, just a...

    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

Noise Canceling Electronic Ear Muffs http://www.harborfreight.com/noise-canceling-electronic-ear-muffs-92851.html PASS. Work great. Been using these for over a year now mainly at the pistol range. Only complaint is hard to take apart to change battery.

    Got me some Wright #3490

Weapon Shield smells like cinnamon. Weird but it works great. http://www.weaponshield.com/products.htm

    Got me some Wright #3490

Nice looking family :) Don't get me wrong, the volume doesn't bother me so much, just not used to that from my S-K's and Cman's. I would guess the double pawl mechanism has something to do with it.

    Got me some Wright #3490

Thanks for the help. Got it appart and all oiled this morning with some Weapon Shield gun oil. I really wanted to put some Superlube in it but I obeyed the "oil only" instructions on the handle. It's a nice heavy ratchet and a good chrome finish. Still pretty loud though even after oiling.
