Just got my new set of Sunnex metric deep sockets from Tooltopia. Already whizzed off a few lug nuts to test them out. For the price, they sure come in a sturdy case (which could be a little smaller IMO). The extension and universal were purchased separately and fit nicely into the two extra pockets of the case.

The finish on these is very nice with the size both stamped and laser marked. One thing I noticed was the lack of beveling at the drive end. Even my old HF set had that. That said, I had no problem getting them on to my impact or ratchet. Hopefully these will last a long time.

I just listed a couple of old Sunex sets for sale in the classifieds. Honestly, I think Sunex impacts are a hell of a deal for the quality you receive. I would have kept them, but I just don't have a use for them anymore. When comparing them to some Armstrong impacts, the Sunex were quite a bit nicer in my opinion.

Same here, I have a set of 3/8" Sunex Swivels in the classifieds.
I couldn't justify them for the little work I do with them.

I use them quite a bit, but I don't currently have a 3/8" impact gun which is why I'm selling the one set. The 1/2" set I'm selling is a duplicate for me, and I'm trying to make more room in my box. I'm one of those guys that typically only buys USA made tools, but the Sunex impacts were such a value that I couldn't pass them up. They can be had for not much more than Harbor Freight, and they really hold up well.

I decided to just use the Sunex Universal (that they are based on) with my current impact sockets, so for $15 I got much the same function, just a bit taller. For DIY it's more than ok.

I will only use a fraction of what is in the set and may have to buy a 36mm for axle nuts. I don't understand why they (meaning most tool companies) start 1/2" drive sets all the way down at 10mm. I just can't think of any reason to use 1/2" drive much over 15mm.

i was skeptical about the sunex sockets at first because of the price point compared to my domestic impacts, but i picked this set up a few years ago and theyve been great http://www.tooltopia.com/sunex-tools-2693.aspx followed by a shallow set later on.
maybe not the first ones i reach for all the time if its under 24mm but you cant the quality for the price and i dont feel too bad if i need to use one to press something out etc
