I also have a 16" ML. The two speed shifter has a placard that says to shift only at low speed. I took that as the saw needs to be at the slowest blade speed per setting and shifted while the saw is running. That is how I've always done it and it's worked well, with no resultant problems.

I was hooked when I saw his video of the self assembling table saw. Brilliant.

Been wrestling with sticky, grimy, drawer slides on an old Snap-On box I picked up a while back. Even my newest box (errmmm... ...if 12+ years in the shop can still be considered "new") is getting kinda sticky. Any secret cleaning and lubing process that will smooth out my drawers?
