I need a mini chain hoist

Could a cheap cable puller work?

Shop build, wall is out of plumb

Confirm you are actually part of the HOA. Some HOAs like to trick nearby neighbors into joining the HOA or just forcing standards on them. Did you sign anything acknowledging the HOA when you moved in. On topic. Are your bottom plates already anchored to the slab? If not would pushing and...

    Track shelving safety?

I hung a similar non galvanized version from a different store. Instructions said to put screws into top horizontal rail only. I offered to put screws into vertical tracks customer said it wasn't necessary. If it was going to hold anything remotely heavy I would have anchored the vertical...

    Cheap thread locker

Anaerobic part is correct. Cures in absence of air, iirc reactive metals act as a catalyst.

unloading workbench from trailer without forklift?

I've seen flat bed tow trucks and dump trailers haul some odd loads. They make unloading very quick. 10' wide would be a little sketchy on most liftgates. Depending on how ridgid the pallet is, you may need 2 pallet jacks to move it.

Utility knife blade carriage too loose

The thumb button is the wrong shape for a locking blade. Likely self retracting.

Utility knife blade carriage too loose

Looks like a Stanley self retracting knife model 10-189 I think. The spot where the blade carriage attaches to the spring breaks after a few years of daily use. These should be covered under warranty but my local big box stores no longer carry this model.

What do you do with your included assembly tools?

We get tons of these at work, the chrome looking ones aren't always good quality. The good ones usually have markings or a ball end. Odd sizes are occasionally cut into straight bits and used in a drill. Diy extractors have worked once or twice, although spare torx bits are usually used first...

    Drilling a lock

Oil will attract gypsum dust. Use a dry lube if needed. Compressed air works decent for cleaning tight spots. Some cabinets of this style have an internal lock bypass latch. Some times on the individual drawers sometimes near the lock.

    Elevator at church

Is this a wheelchair lift or a full elevator designed for several people at once? Wheelchair lifts will have a somewhat user friendly manual. I've seen simple resets fix stuck wheelchair lifts.

Garage door that travels straight up

This style is very common in warehouses and other large buildings.

    Hardened Adhesive removal

3m stripe off is an example of an eraser wheel. It will make a mess on the floor but shouldn't scratch paint. Probably won't do too much if rock hard. Mineral spirits might be next step if alcohol isn't working. Finger tips and friction work best to remove if softened, move fast and switch...

Blackboard or Whiteboard for shop use

Glassboard with metal backing will also be magnetic. I recall seeing green and black porcelain steel boards that can be used with chalk or markers. The special markers usually neon or white maybe expensive.

7018 AC rod and Lincoln Welder on oilfield pipe

Multiple passes on thicker materials will change angles. Preheating and managing temperature between passes may help. Preheating probably isn't necessary if you find a good starting angle and stay consistent. Test with scrap cutoffs. 6010 for root pass is common 6011 should work as well. 7014...
