Just saw this string after all these years! I have 2 of their Workbenches. One of them is a Woodworking bench and the other is my reloading bench. I see one of the other members said they had a finish issue. They do all of the Stain & Poly by hand so there are a few places where there is a bit...
Ironically Thats how I started my Workbench Business. We moved, I needed a bench, and my wife looked for one for me. She bought me the 4 drawer. There were 250 screws and everyone for miles around could hear me pound on it ...
I hope you enjoy it...I still have mine. Emily keeps her craft...
I think although it would work for hobbies like modeling, your gonna have a tough time with it. I can imagine the cracks and eventual Granite Dusted Garage. Stick with wood.

Over the past several months I had done a poll on Buying American.
I am so pleased to see that we are trending toward buying "American".
I know I obviously have a stake in this as an upstart american company.
It's just so ironic how addicted we are to the Third world produced goods...

I would take a look at my "Patriot" workbench 72x24...May not be what your looking for as it is a traditional bench. The kind your Dad or Grandfather would have used only a bit spiffy. The top is guaranteed for life and can be passed down through your family. The bench is strong enough so as...
Hi Stanbo,
Thanks for the compliment!
Unfortunately, I don't do tops alone. With my current workload Iam sticking to the products on the site. Hope you feel better.

Thanks Vinko, I build each one of those benches...The cool thing is that I use Minwax products and each year I retouch my personal benches and they stay Super. Thanks again for your comments! The business is going very well. I started in my Garage part time and now have a bigger shop...
What goes into the beginnings of a Great Work area?
Most of us would agree it would have to have a strong basic
workbench to begin future projects.
For starters a strong basic Garage or Woodworking
Workbench must be sturdy, no wobbling. It must be quick and
easy to assemble(25 minutes)...
In 2006 I posted a thread asking what do y'all think of my new business. I received many positive comments, as well as emails with suggestions. I want to thank everyone for their participation. Since then I have built and sold over 500 benches and received 100% satisfaction! It's forums like...
There is the basic "Big John" and there ia a little John. However I can make any custom sizes that you wish. It would have to be priced based on your needs.
Hope your doing well,
John
Americanworkbench.com was an idea inspired by my wife Emily.
Last year we moved from Charleston, South Carolina
to our new home in a suburb of Savannah, Georgia.
Our new home didn't have a workbench!!.
I found myself missing the built-in bench that we left...
