    Coast flashlight tread

Now I don't get into the lights costing hundreds with custom tints, programming, etc. Just a bit too 'boutique' when I want something that lights up an area the way I want, when I need it to. Definitely not a tint snob either as I find the 5-6K range to be perfect for my eyes, use, that sort of...

    Coast flashlight tread

I used to think Coast was pretty good until I stumbled onto Fenix and a handful of others. If in a big box store they're totally fine for most users, but otherwise they remind me of Surefire in that they rest on the past and are far behind everyone else in terms of high/quality output...

    Milwaukee M18 Tire Inflator Thoughts?

Can only laugh at Amazon's way of pushing items. Their 'choice' pitch simply indicates how many mindless fools buy into their mass produced garbage. I did find this on Scamazon and find it outstanding to use with my inflator...

    Accurate dial tire gauge

Recently bought a Longacre 50417 and the thing is fantastic, especially build quality/function for the price point. Thought I'd miss the 'hold psi reading' that other gauges I've owned have had, but definitely not the case. No reset needed OR needle fluctuation like with other gauges, just press...

Best Ratcheting Screwdriver? New to the forum

SO is overrated garbage with many things they spew out. Paying for the name/warranty as the design/function is 2nd rate!

    Robust 12V Air Compressor

Actually just spent a bit on the TLC Pro from Viair. Maybe overkill, but not digging spending less for questionable longevity. They're running a LD sale for the time being, which helped a good bit as well. Ordering from their site I got a first time buyer discount and the Labor Day reduction, so...

Gearwrench Warranty in Australia - Is Gearwrench still considered a quality product?

Strongly believe GW was once top notch, based on the extreme use I've put a 'micro' set through the last 15+ yrs. Fast fwd to last year I decided to get one of their in/lb torque wrenches. Definitely had a top notch design/feel out of the box, but the adjustment mechanism was notchy and upon...

I know this ISN'T Candlepower Forums, but I know there are flashlight fans here.

Well stated and I agree as I have read a bit about them. No doubt they have quite a following, I just look for build quality, high performance, lots of usable features and most of their line won't do. OTOH I clearly laugh at all the Asian junk to flood the market with dirt cheap offerings trying...

Yep is stated as being magnesium opposed to typical aluminum. Another thing that gets my vote is their headband design is WAY better than any other brand over the yrs that I've tried. Very comfortable, breathes well and stays exactly where you want it.

Opinions vary, but IMBHO Surefire is simply overpriced/hyped and definitely better/cheaper options exist. Surefire has always been late to the party with what they offer and more power to those willing to tolerate it.

That Fenix HM65R is by far the best all-around headlamp I've found. Super lightweight, has great output spacing (levels) and some killer features most companies simply can't match.

Will gladly say a light is like a tool in that you generally get what you pay for. Been a fan of Fenix, Acebeam and Nitecore for the most part for yrs and have yet had a single failure. Keep good cells in them, charge with a quality device, keep contact points cleaned, etc. and a good light...

    Knipex quality issues

Only thing I have from Knipex is one of their mini bolt cutter offerings and I've put them through a lot of heavy duty snipping and the thing looks/performs like new. Yes, the cost was a bit more than most others similar, but I wouldn't hesitate to get the same exact pair again if it came down...

    Tool Versatility...

Since posting a pic of my home built coffee roasting setup I decided to post more info on it for anyone interested. Decided to do so in order to show various ways some tools many of us have can be used to maximize owning them. After buying lots of coffee from nationally recognized artisan...
