Let’s see all your coast flashlights!

The first one I got was an hp3r Christmas of 2024 and carried it all of 2025. Great light no complaints. IMG_5182.jpeg

Then this year all for my friends were getting stream light wedges which are good lights. But I had to be different so I got a coast slayer pro.
It is stupid bright. I do miss being able to carry it in my mouth easier. I’ve carried it for two weeks now. Battery life is good Lasted a whole week for me. No complaints at all. IMG_5183.jpeg

I used to think Coast was pretty good until I stumbled onto Fenix and a handful of others. If in a big box store they're totally fine for most users, but otherwise they remind me of Surefire in that they rest on the past and are far behind everyone else in terms of high/quality output, versatility, etc.

I was a diehard Surefire fan - Probably have 6-8 various handhelds and all my HD handguns have Surefire weapons lights on them.

After retiring and moving back to the Midwest, I discovered Coast lights at Menards.

Since that time, I have picked up a handful of these little pocket lights. $8 each - a fraction of the cost of similar Surefire, Streamlight and Fenix models. They work just as well and I don't cry when I lose one.

I have a Fenix strobe combo on my night stand, great flashlight. For other stuff like bouncing around in the tool box or glove compartment, I have several Coast lights. IMO Coast light are not top line, but are a really good value!

I had one for years, great flashlight. carry in my pants pocket. Lost it got another.

Just got annoyed when I had to replace the AA every few months, :rolleyes2 never one handy, so just replaced it with a cheap rechargeable, from Menards, great as well.

Having the Coast lights, never understood how a $70 "name brand" flashlight was any better. :dunno:

I really like my coast flashlight, 255 lumens, has 3 light modes, one on the end and one on the side with 2 brightness. One thing that another one I had that I didn’t like was you had to click the button 3 times to go through all the modes to shut it off. This one if it’s on for more that 5 seconds you only have to push the button once to shut it off. Also this is one of the few that have a built in laser pointer on it also with a separate button. USBC charge plug. Magnetic end on it, shaped like a long skinny chocolate bar maybe 5” long. I carry it every day with me at work, I’d be lost without it. Just like your favourite jack knife. I can post the model# and picture later. BCD.

Now I don't get into the lights costing hundreds with custom tints, programming, etc. Just a bit too 'boutique' when I want something that lights up an area the way I want, when I need it to. Definitely not a tint snob either as I find the 5-6K range to be perfect for my eyes, use, that sort of thing. Problem I had with Coast lights (yrs ago that is) is they were far too cool as in blue/purple and just didn't care for that. Also for yrs they had terrible circuitry output regulation. Higher quality tint, much better control on output, temp regulation is what makes the more costly brands a tier above based on MY use, not just marketing hype.

Sooooo, this is supposed to be a "show your Coast flashlights" thread. Not, "my xyz... is so much better." Even though maybe it costs 20X as much. Or half as much.

Maybe we should some pics of Coast flashlights and not posts debating on why Coast is **** or not the best deal, or ..... but just some pics like OP wanted ?

Seem to happen a lot on GJ where the thread just becomes an everything thread. But I don’t mind all that much. There aren’t too many flashlight threads that I could find.
