New guy near Seattle with some questions

I went with 1" copper in a circle in my shop. It sort of turned into an art project. It works great though. My compressor is outside under a lean-to. If you can sweat it. Copper is a great choice. -Just don't use PVC. ...and welcome to the Journal. -josh in Kingston, WA

Thought I would email some tool companies

Wow. Something as simple as a few stickers to make a customer happy. And to have that customer help market their brand. Huge marketing fail for all but SK in my humble opinion. Definitely an interesting experiment.

My Dang Eyes! What Brands are easiest to Read?

My Dang Eyes! What Brands are easiest to Read?

I use Snap-On and Matco sockets. My eyes are also not as good as they used to be. Here is why I prefer the Matco sockets: Fair warning - these markings will wear. But my Matco guy has replaced a worn one. In my experience the Craftsman etchings wear very quickly and are tougher for me to...

    Tool storage idea

^^^^^Yep.This^^^^^ :lol_hitti I had to be really careful not to put screws too far through the wood mounts that I epoxied to the tank or I would have created a fuel leak. I used Iroko wood which is very oily and rot resistant like teak. Wasn't sure if the epoxy would stick to it so I tested...

    Tool storage idea

Pretty much, yes. I used UHMW 1/4" pegboard due to the potential for water damage. I figure I can spray the board with fresh water to rinse the tools when necessary to remove saltwater. The heat from the engine dries things quick. And then spray WD-40, Boeshield or whatever on them. The boards...

That's actually a great guess. But I borrowed the idea straight from the tool trucks. Snap-On & Matco.

Just installed this in the engine room of my boat. Can you guess where the idea came from? :dunno:
