What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Re: what did you do in your garage today? Well it wasn't technically in my shop but it involves my shop. I drove about 320 miles and spent 12 hours to trade a 1993 Z28 for a low mileage 5.3 liter engine and a 4l60E transmission for my son's 1973 Z/28. He's 7, it was a great father son day...

I've had too many but a couple of almost darwin moments come to mind, 1998 stationed a RAF Lakenheath UK I was repairing an external fuel tank from a F-15 that had been involved in a bird strike. I was told that the tank had been steamed out. I was tig welding it when it shot a four foot flame...

I wish people didn't refer to my workshop as a "Man Cave"

I don't mind man cave, if I've had a bad day I usually go there to work and alieviate my frustrations. I'm more offended when someone calls my shop my shed, it's nicer than that!

I live in the historic district of a small Georgia town... very safe... my kids play outside alone... it's just that Crime is everywhere... it's especially bad when you get these tweakers that are only worried about getting their next fix and not who they're hurting to get it.

YAY! I got a new welder!!!

I bought a millermatic 212. I had to upgrade the wiring to handle it, I had 220 running off of a 20 amp breaker through 10awg wire, I upgraded to 6/2 with a 50 amp breaker. I love the welder though, very smooth!
