I bought a millermatic 212. I had to upgrade the wiring to handle it, I had 220 running off of a 20 amp breaker through 10awg wire, I upgraded to 6/2 with a 50 amp breaker. I love the welder though, very smooth!

Congrats! What will you be doing with it? What are you gonna build?

I have a cheapy Clark ($400 in 1990 - I know there are cheaper ones out there now) that I bought 22 years ago and this week I dug it out, put in a fresh roll of wire and a new bottle of MIG mix and I was amazed once I got the temp dialed in how well it works.

No, it's not a production quality unit like your Miller, but for the occasional stuff I do, it really lays down a nice bead.

I'm starting a small business building utility trailers, car trailers, etc. I'm also going to do general welding around town. I also have a couple of classic Camaros that I'm restoring.
