You might also want to figure out how to add a muffler to your compressor's inlet. Yes, the inlet side - that's where a whole lot of the noise comes from. I used to have a really big compressor and the inlet was 1" pipe thread. I made an adapter out of short piece of 1" pipe with a 2" washer...
