I keep my 60 watt CO2 laser in my laundry room. You will definitely need to vent outside or install a proper filtration unit. As for the noise, the laser itself is fairly quiet. Most of the noise will come from the exhaust fan. In my case, it's about as loud as a medium sized garage fan.
