    Trying to understand some wiring....

Thanks for the clearing up the neutral thing that makes sense now. As for the attempt at wiring this thing up I threw in the towel on it. While the white wire at the ballast may be neutral it's not a heavy gauge wire. It's looks to be about 18 gauge at best. So not really the safest thing to...

    Trying to understand some wiring....

OK let me clear something up cause I failed to mention it in my original post. This is actually a storage unit I'm renting so I don't have access to all the wiring. I didn't install the fixture/ballast so I'm not sure how it was wired. It seems like all the wiring is behind the metal wall that...

    Trying to understand some wiring....

OK I know pretty much zero about anything electrical outside of a car so can someone help me to understand what I'm looking at in these pics? I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to tap into any of this to run an outlet for a few small battery chargers and a drop light. From...

    Porter Cable Impact sockets

I'm going to stay away from them because I was looking in the tool section of Auto Zone and they have the exact same set just with a Great Neck sticker on them. I may just slide into Sears and get the C-man sets. Thanks for all the input.

    Porter Cable Impact sockets

So do you think they're worth $50?

    Porter Cable Impact sockets

Anyone have any experience with these? Didn't know Porter Cable made sockets. SAE http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000256S22/ref=s9_sims_c2_s1_p60_t1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0JX9D7WDDBFHMZVTQ2FD&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846 Metric...

    Let's see your toolbox.

I have those same Erwin strippers and I'm not real impressed. The Gardner & Bender ones I have are way smoother. The Erwin strippers seem to be really stiff, they tend to break smaller gauge wire instead of stripping, and they are really bulky. They are not my first choice if I need to get in a...

Sears has really p!ssed me off......

It looks like it's not posted on the Sears site anymore. I know he pulled it up in the store. I did find this though: http://www.gearwrench.com/warranty.jsp Basically it means if your sears carries the tool it can be warrantied if not you gotta call Danaher.

    SK Impact Sockets

If this has been covered (and I'm sure it has) I apologize but I can't Search SK because it's less than 3 letters. Anyway. I'm wondering how you guys feel about SK impact sockets. I'm looking at these sets...

Sears has really p!ssed me off......

Gotta love sales people. lol I recently went in to have a few Gearwrench ratchet wrenches warrantied and had a store manager tell me that they did not warranty GW in the store only C-man. I laughed and called Danaher Tools right there so they could tell him he is supposed to warranty GW in the...
