Seen talk of angle grinders so I thought I would share. I picked up a Bauer 4.5in angle grinder with the trigger vs the slide switch or paddle switch and it's been great. I really like that thing. You can lock the trigger and choke up on it like a slide switch style or just use the trigger and...
Is the clear protective plastic sticker still on the inside or outside? Reflection for a light source behind you. I run the HF titanium helmet myself and I like it alot. I'm no professional by any means but as I get older it's harder to see and the titanium has a way bigger lens then my previous...
Correct tool is an engine support bar. I pulled the transmission from our traverse and use an engine hoist and a jack stand under the oil pan as it drifted down over night. It was in the way so I used a 4x4 and ratchet straps and that worked great. Hopefully the only fwd vehicle I have to use it on.
Most auto parts stores carry a dorman brand metric nut and bolt kit. That probably takes care of 75% of my metric needs. I tend to also keep the extra fasters from parts I replace or pull from the junkyard. I also keep a few cords I cut off old appliances when they get tossed
2nd that. Lug nuts is where I get the issue. Years of the same lug nuts getting impacted but otherwise there's not an issue unless it's rusted or rounded
I have broken a magnetic plug socket but I believe I was using a cordless ratchet. Possibly even an impact on a chrome socket. I'm not for sure, but I know it wasn't a hand ratchet. The magnet did not fall out and I have not had issues with it since I only used a hand ratchet. Used rubber ones...
Pulled the trans on our 2012 traverse and started with a cherry picker but it was a pain to work around and very discouraging. I ended up with a 4x4 and 2 ratchet straps.
If you have been using Craftsman raised panel ratchet and had good luck then you can buy anything name brand. I remember stripping the gears from those several times. I have really grown to like tektons ratchets myself. Wish they made a locking flexhead but they don't. Gear wrench locking...
I mess with different stuff and use HF torque wrenchs. I prefer the click style but torque angle is used a lot so I would recommend digital with built in torque angle. I know the torque speck for lug it's on our traverse is 149ft lb so I would recommend the bigger 1/2in wrench
