VIM, LISLE, SUNEX, ASTRO PNEUMATIC, TOOL-AID as just a few examples makes tools that snap on dont. I buy the tools...

    Snap-On's budget Blue-Point line

I bought the 8 pc pliers set, then ended up buying the 8 pc mini pliers as well. Their pretty good, i use them daily. The teeth on the needle nosed & curved needle nosed are wearing out, but they carry the same warranty as snap on, so if it fails, just trade in for a new one.

auto body: door skin vs new/used door

100% agree. In the time it takes me to skin a door start to finish is almost double the time to strip a used door, swap parts, paint, back on car. To me it just seems like the cost cant be that much different. Ive been lucky to only have done 4 or 5. I have seen an old school bodyman skin a door...

auto body: door skin vs new/used door

after having to replace door skins a few times i thought id start a debate. car insurance companies will pick the more cost efficient method to repair your car. its cheaper to buy a door skin & pay the shop to install the new skin. But, im not 100% certain these insurance companies know how much...

    Bonding dissimilar plastics?

Havent used too many different types of plastic bonding, but the shop i work at currently uses 3M plastic repair. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002R505ZG/ref=pd_aw_sbs_263_of_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=64HY0NB5FM5GFGDY2Q6M It works decent as long as both plastics are scuffed down & wouldnt hurt...

    collision repair

Thanks for the compliment! And yes you are right, cars are being totaled with what looks like minor damage until you look at the underbody. Some cars are sectioned together & some are larger sections that simply cannot be replaced or it costs more to replace than the car is worth. The shop i...
