Ric, you have definitely inspired me for my garage. My house also started out with a car port and previous owners had converted it to a garage. There are some ridiculously nice (expensive) garages on this site but yours reminds me of what I hope mine turns out to be. Good luck. - Jeremy

5 HP motors don't seem to be too cheap. I would definitely check the caps, thermal overloads if equipped etc of the motor. take a $150 plus motor cost and compare to what some of those compressors cost in working condition. PS there are a many things that will drive up the cost of a...
