I have a 9XW in my 30x40. Holds my Duramaxes with no issues and leaves me with close to 80 inches underneath the runways. I usually keep my Chevelle on top and one of my Duramaxes underneath. In my mind, the extra money for the 9k is worth it..
I used to use a manual transfer switch wired up to the circuits I wanted energized. I used two automatic transfer switches when I moved up to a 22kw generator. I have the same setup as you with the two 200’s...
Meh...to each his own....
I have a 4 post that's extra high and wide. And a high ceiling. I can walk under my lift and I'm 6'3". I'm in the middle of a complete front end redo on my Chevelle and between my air jacks and jacking plate, there is nothing that I couldn't do so far with my setup...
I've used Sharkbites before as well as soldering pipe and I've heard good and bad about the Sharkbites. Biggest con I've heard is that with hot water, the pipes expand and contract eventually leading the Sharkbites to fail. I know it doesn't apply in this case, but interesting enough...
I have been in it for 34 years and one of the only things I can tell you is that the installer is the key to the whole process. A good installer can take a piece of **** and make it look great and a hacker can take an expensive piece of carpet and make it look like ****.
As far as carpet goes...
Did you adjust the cables after using it a few times? I had a similar problem and after lifting a few vehicles, the cables were naturally stretching. I adjusted them and no issues after that. The lift goes up and down smooth and the locks click off all at the same time.
Bingo....
I always have the dealer do the first service to prevent this type of ****...I have seen too many stuck filters as well as gunned down drain plugs straight from the factory...
HD-9XW owner here. With the exception of a small rub on one of the posts, everything went together perfectly and the lift works flawless..the only thing I did was to replace the compression fittings for the airlines with some Parker push to connect fittings..Zero air leaks..
