I can see Made in USA on one of them. They all do the same sort of function like a crimping tool but each of them is slightly different. They are old but they function well, just need cleaned up. The springs work.
Does anybody know what they’re used for?
1957 1/2 horsepower gem on original stand. $80 from a nice guy who obviously takes care of his tools. Missing one eye shield but everything else is in great condition. I plan to paint it hammered gray. All cast iron and no cracks! Runs great. Smooth and quiet.
Yes, it's a 1/2 hp. I updated the pics to show the front plate and the nasty interior.
I ordered a capacitor today. Bearings sound ok when turning by hand but I went ahead and ordered them too just in case.
Picked up an older round top. It has not been treated well. Makes noise but won't spin even when I help it. Obviously needs some TLC. $5. Worth it for the parts I think.
I try to buy quality US made gardening tools whenever possible. I have a tendency to leave tools outside and fiberglass handles don't hold up too well for me so I've switched to all wood handles.
If you need a hoe, I can't recommend these guys highly enough:

I have a couple of the profi-king plus zyliss vises. The video will make you wonder how you ever got along without one! I picked mine up second hand so I didn't pay the home show prices.
Amazing capabilities. I have attached 2 to my Keter portable work table and I've been very pleased with the...
Some say the abrasives in the detergent will dull the knives--along with having them bumping against the other items during the wash cycle.
That's all somewhat debatable but the knives I recommended (Case **) have oiled wooden handles that will dry out and split it you put them in the...
I'll put in a pitch for a nice US Made set.
Case ** makes a kitchen set in a hardwood block. Not fancy, easily maintained. Very sharp right out of the box. The item number is 7249. Shop around. You can usually find it anywhere from $175-$200.
You get 5 knives, a sharpening steel and the...
Here's one on the east side of Dallas if you're in that area. Too far for me to drive this afternoon so I'll leave it for someone else!
$50
1/2 horse, crown top, looks complete except for the tray. On a sturdy stand (not the craftsman stand.)

Finally finished cleaning up the 204 1/2. Hammer tone black. Jaws are in excellent shape. Couldn't see them when I picked it up due to all the grime and paint. Someone really dinged up the slide but no cracks or welds. I'm happy with my investment.
