    Roof Pitch from Angle Finder

Hi All I've learned SO much here and this is my FAVORITE forum! I need some advice... My wife wants to replace the 3 'Rusty Barn Stars' in the pic with Gable Pediments. Those stars were removed when my kids were home for TG. While up there I asked them to measure the angle of the Gable's...

DUDE - Seriously?! This is one of the best and longest threads in all of forum history. If you can't find enough pics in 79 pages / 1500+ posts... ? :beer2: Just ask a question - everyone here is very helpful.

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

I just ran a bunch of drywall screws thru the plywood at the bottom of the metal. The down leg of the 1-1/2" angle iron simply sat on the screws at the correct height during the pour. When all done I just unscrewed em as I took the form apart. The form was built so that it unscrewed in...

This is what I did - YMMV. It was pretty painless and safe-ish. But it worked.

I unscrewed the speaker cover (red circle) and put a few layers of Elect. Tape over the speaker. - Still beeps but not NEARLY as annoying. Mine is also gravity return - with no weight on the platforms it takes quite a while to lower.

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

JohnnyK - I am not an expert - only did this once BUT, I would not install it at the lowest point. You will not have any room to adjust it down should you need it. I kept mine approx 4 turns out and locked it till all done. My pit is 12.5" deep and pretty 'square with the world'. I had...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

JohnnyK - My pics are probably still here, I didn't use PB (I guess I could go back and look) Here's some pics of my pit / platform. If you need any more I have lots - just hit me up As far as what Skater said, I also had a gap under my slab but very little of the concrete crept into it. If...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

There's A LOT of Pissed Off people from this PhotoBucket Hostage / Ransom situation. Go over and look at the Corvette Forum - ALL those cool Build Threads, How to's, All GONE! Seems like it was a very popular way to post pics on forums - not any more... Never used it - Kinda glad.

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Ain't THAT the truth - see post 732 on pg 37. The rest is history... PZiddy, From my own experience I would make the wet edge of the form as wide as possible - especially if you put a angle iron frame (I did) around it. My 4" ish edge shrunk a LOT because of the angle iron and we had to put...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

FairChild, I have the Dayang - same as Skater. My lift is occupied by a 93 Mazda FD project that is taking WAY TOO LONG to get up and running. I won't be able to 'test for you' till we get that started and off the lift - hopefully soon. Mine is rated at 3000 KG - just get the 3500 model if...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

I've had a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee up and down with ease. I have yet to put my '14 GMC 2500HD pick up on it but I will. Probably no higher than to do brakes though - its pretty heavy. Even though I'm VERY happy that I installed this thing, I still have a little fear / respect because I know...

Dude, You're not Diss'n ME! I had to do what I H A D to do. Not sure what size hoses you have but I got it all thru 1.5" and am not happy about it. But it works. 4" is just Crazy Talk - no need for it and you have less concrete with that huge hole in it. Less = Weak. Jus Say'n Still...

LiteRonics 1x4 Retrofit A customer of mine sells Industrial / Commercial lighting. I ALWAYS want to do business with people that do business with me. I bought 42 of em (shop and home garage)- 2- 4' pairs (4 bulbs) replace 2 - 8' Fluorescent (2 bulbs) old skool lights. You gut the ballast out...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

DUDE! I think you Jinxed me... Mine was tracking perfectly till recently. Then the left started going up sooner than the right - like by 4"! It was making me worry. So, I finally had the chance to get the 'project car' off the X and I added oil (was between the 2 notches) and re-bled them...
