    Christmas Tool Hauls

I used some Sears giftcards I got for Christmas to get the Craftsman Professional portable table saw (#21829). It's $430 this month with Craftsman Club. Unfortunately, it was out of stock everywhere and I had to order it. Hopefully it will be in tomorrow morning or Saturday at the latest. Can't...

    Lowes Black Friday Deals

I got a Ryobi bench grinder for $20 from them last Black Friday. Sweet deal considering I don't need a heavy duty version. Seems like HD has better BF deals than Lowes.

Who has been denied a Craftsman tool warranty?

Is that for any reason? I mean, saws are expected to become dull over time. Anybody ever try to warranty a hand saw?

Who has been denied a Craftsman tool warranty?

I just double checked. My wrench (44690) says "Forever Full Warranty" on the case. I believe I bought it in September 2007. Here it is on Sears web site. Edit: Just noticed it says "Guranteed forever" on the web site.

Who has been denied a Craftsman tool warranty?

I have a Craftsman torque wrench that I bought a couple years ago for about $30 and it had the lifetime warranty logo on the box it came in. This is obviously not their top-of-the-line torque wrench (not electronic). I don't think ALL their torque wrenches are lifetime, but some are. I assume...

    *********** a Retail Store

I love Sears--my shop is FULL of Craftsman tools. I go into Sears, get what I want, and then check out. Sure, the experience isn't perfect, but you can get annoyed at any store if you're wound too tight. I go for the tools, not the service. :)

    Open Tool Storage

It wouldn't work for this DIY'er. The kids would disorganize that system in a matter of minutes. :)

    The finishing touch!!!!!

    $10???

    Water Filter Filter Replacement..."STUCK"

My filter housing is also very hard to remove. The plastic wrench that came with it slipped and deformed so it's useless. My 12" tongue-and-groove pliers are a little small. I was thinking of getting some 16" Channellocks that only cost about $22 at Lowes. Hopefully they would be big enough.

    My first craiglist score posting.

That looks like a nice Proto set--looks to be in great shape. Nice work!

Lowes getting rid of many other brands

My Lowes (New Hudson, MI) has all their Nicholson files on Clearance. They are about 40% off or so. No replacements are out yet. Lots to choose from!

    Evolv Tools

You hit the nail on the head. They are supposed to be packaged in a more eco-friendly way. Yeah, whatever. :pimpflash

    Klein tools clearanced at lowes!!!!!

Well, I've been watching the Kleins at the New Hudson, MI, store and today they had changed about 75% of their Klein stock from "New lower price" to "Clearance." Prices were reduced to 50-75% off. My guess is they didn't finish doing the markdowns and the rest will be marked down soon. I picked...

Dissappointing Sears thread, with a twist

Looks like the bottom line is that you got the chest for less than half off retail. Can't beat that!
