I got a Ryobi bench grinder for $20 from them last Black Friday. Sweet deal considering I don't need a heavy duty version. Seems like HD has better BF deals than Lowes.
I just double checked. My wrench (44690) says "Forever Full Warranty" on the case. I believe I bought it in September 2007. Here it is on Sears web site.

I have a Craftsman torque wrench that I bought a couple years ago for about $30 and it had the lifetime warranty logo on the box it came in. This is obviously not their top-of-the-line torque wrench (not electronic). I don't think ALL their torque wrenches are lifetime, but some are. I assume...
I love Sears--my shop is FULL of Craftsman tools. I go into Sears, get what I want, and then check out. Sure, the experience isn't perfect, but you can get annoyed at any store if you're wound too tight. I go for the tools, not the service. :)
My filter housing is also very hard to remove. The plastic wrench that came with it slipped and deformed so it's useless. My 12" tongue-and-groove pliers are a little small. I was thinking of getting some 16" Channellocks that only cost about $22 at Lowes. Hopefully they would be big enough.
