I hear the sound of falling tools after the BFH gets called to the scene of the frozen assembly/part on the workbench crime.

Looks good, but I don't see how it would be better than other commercially available storage and organizational systems.

not a good idea . put your power tools in boxes so they can be taken to the job site. metal boxes if you can find them

That would make them easier to steal. Just run down the rack with a 5 gallon bucket and sweep 'em in. Plus it makes it easier for neighbors and relatives to see what they need to borrow. Plus they would collect dirt. I don't see an upside. Well, it would be better than having them stacked in a pile in the corner.

I would inevitably try to grab something from a shelf or pull a socket off a rail and hit the bottom of the shelf above it making it fall all over the place. Not for me!

Guys, let us know how you really feel:lol_hitti
I thought it was a bit pricey also, but look what boxes cost. In a cramped home workshop, might be a winner.

I have a Knaak cabinet I gave $100 for. It was a project, we had to beat a few dents out of it and free up rusty hinges and then paint. It isn't "pretty" but it definitely is secure.

I like the idea of it -- open and easy to access -- I think you're right that it might work for a clean room. I have such a room -- and I'm using steel shelving right now. And wooden trays drilled/carved out to hold fixtures and components I need.

That said, I would modify the idea -- do something like a unistrut with my own version of sheet metal shelving:thumbup: Of course when I realized how insanely expensive it would be, I'd probably not do it.:)

That would be more temptation than my kids could handle. They are good kids but come on. You tempt them with that display they will make toys out of my stuff.

It wouldn't work for this DIY'er. The kids would disorganize that system in a matter of minutes. :)
