i would guess as stated above also that its the media size, the walnut shell i have seen is much larger than glass bead or aluminum oxide media and just doesn't flow through the hoses in this style of blast cabinet. might try switching the media and see what happens.

other than the tool which i can rent, the fittings don't seem to be crazy, couple bucks more per fitting than sweat joints so i think for the ease of install its definitely worth it.

i see the locks inside the column can be adjusted so when its locked it can be leveled, nothing i would personally ever be concerned with but that option is nice if you want it.
