Anyone ever built a geared engine stand?

When I was thinking of doing some kind of drive for my engine stand (post #8) I kicked around a couple of ideas, including a chain drive or a flexplate drive. I had thought of using a worm drive gear box but the price of a new one scared me. I picked up the one I used, brand new, at a swap meat...

One place I used to work at (for 12 years) we used lots of it, ifn it was too thick we just mixed a little oil in it to thin it. Never had any problems with the thinned stuff not performing.

    Electrical Code Question: Wire Routing

You can't leave the extra cable coiled up. If you want to leave it in w/out cutting it you'll have to zig-zag it or run it all around the rafters so it's not touching itself. The more spacing the better.

    Checking amp clamps

What amperage range are the amp-clamps? Roughly what amperage do you intend to use them on? If the amp-clamp is like 0-200 amp and you're only trying to measure something like 2 or 5 amps it's not going to be very accurate. Also, make sure the faces of the clamps, where they close together are...

    Canadian Costco Led Lighting fixture

Why not use them and instead of hard wiring them just install receptacles for each one to plug into. You may have to install spacers (1 or 2 inch) to mount them instead of direct mounting to the ceiling.

Ifn the felt goes all the way around then up to that (q-tip) level should be fine. 10-30 oil should be fine for that.

Made in the USA ? For a non resident of the USA.

First off I'll admit that I also don't live in the US. I always liked OTC tools, very good quality, well made and Made in USA. I recently bought an OTC hub puller. Marked on it it says: "Made in USA with imported components". It's 6 pieces of steel, I wonder if any of them are made in the USA.
