The toolbox I have doesn't have enough space for everything. I had the pegboard and put it to use. I never even thought about changing the approach to the way I store the tools and now you all have me thinking a bit different about that.
I am a bit of a pack rat so most of the cabinets are...
I guess after two years I can post an update.
I am far from an organized person and thus tend to have a cluttered garage. So this time I decided I needed to get the majority of the floor and bench clean. While far from perfect, it is way better than it had been.
I spent some time searching...
They look great. Tell me about the storage unit above the cabinets. I cannot tell if they are plastic or metal. What are they and how much can they hold? I want to add some overhead storage and this looks like what I need.
Thanks!

It is 15 outside and 64 in the garage. The heater has been a fantastic addition to the garage. It has been used a lot in the last two years. I did a few major car...
I lurk on the site more than I post. I am not a very organized person nor am I very handy at woodworking. My garage is a place to work on cars.
I know my garage will not be a show piece but I am trying to declutter and clean up so very little is on the floor. My goal is an organized shop...
I have been researching garage floor options for some time. I have been in my house for over 15 years. When i moved in the floor was painted so I cleaned it and repainted. It has held up well and is in need of a refresh.
I must say I love the look of your floor and the ease with which is...

I used a 4' BX Appliance whip and hard wired it in. It is 10 gauge with two hot and a ground. I think it was $14.00 from Menards.
I am working in the garage today. It was 35 when I first turned the heater on and after two hours it is pushing 60. It actually has been off the majority of the...
Thank you for writing this up!!
I have the same 1 1/2 ton green sears jack that is in Roadrunner's picture. It will work to about 80% lift height then you pump and pump with no more lift.
Thanks to this thread I am going to dig into the jack and see what I can find.
Even better is I...
It is in the low teens outside and the garage was at 41. I ran the heater on 5000watt for an hour then put it at the 4000 watt setting for another hour then to 3000 for the rest of the day. Within 1 hour it was 48 and in two hours 55. I managed to get it to 60 in 3 hours and that it where I...
I just installed an electric ceiling heater in my garage and am very happy with it. My garage is insulated so that will make a huge difference. I believe closing off the ceiling on yours will make the biggest improvement, without that it will be hard to keep warm.
