I don't understand why they don't stamp "USA"

Yes that's the problem with people who put money over values. Your boss has no sense of value, he's sold out to the dollar. The shame of it is, there's never enough money for people like that. If they make you believe that they're just barely keeping the doors open, because profits are too low...

I don't understand why they don't stamp "USA"

To all those who think that there's not much room on a screwdriver bit...that's just ridiculous. If it doesn't say USA then it might as well be made in Mexico. I still won't buy it. That's why I buy a lot of used stuff. Back in the day there was plenty of room on a screwdriver bit for three...

    M12 fuel hackzall owners

It's a powered hacksaw. It's only limited by runtime. I found mine in the street, and have never charged the xtra runtime battery, yet after a year and several cuts it still has a charge. I'd say your good for several of these bolts. If not, get another battery. It's not like these bolts are...

Floor jack (trolley jack) troubles up but won't come down!

I had that same problem once, after I added fluid to the jack while it was extended. Didn't know it would matter, and it's likely not the problem in your case. But there it is for what it's worth. Sounds like yours is still fixable so don't give up yet.

    Ratcheting Breaker Bars

Northern tool also has these, although I've never owned one, or known anyone who has. But they stock em in stores, so it's a cheap hf alternative.

    Best tools you've found

Last week I was driving, when out of the corner of my eye, I saw a glint of sunlight reflecting off of what must have been a tool. By the time I looked, I was well past it. I thought what the heck, I'm not doing anything important anyway. So I turned around. Rolled up on a pair of vise grips...

    Keys for current craftsman box?

Might be cheaper, or easier to just get new locks. If you're looking for more than two keys, check the new lock packages. Seems like I noticed that all the numbers were the same when I bought a package to re lock my set up. I wanted all my boxes keyed alike. It's been awhile, but if you're...

    Rebuilding Walker 882 ram ?

Pipe wrench, and a punch most likely. That seems the most common method. Although not the best, it works. But then it needed new slots cut. Looking at the picture, it doesn't appear to be missing anything. Sorry I can't help with the disassembly, I stopped after the tiny pin fell out of the...

Inspecting a Vintage Air Compressor (Checklist Recommendations Please)

I concur. Why not snap a couple pictures, put it on the forum. Some of these things aren't worth the trouble to fix. Just because it's old, doesn't mean it's valuable. Otoh, it could be a name brand, that just needs some tlc. There's a lot of knowledgeable folks here. Better to be fully aware of...

Best, cheapest domestic vehicle OBDII scanner

No, it's not the make & model, it was GVWR, and something else, it's been so long I don't remember, but I do remember having to drag out the owners manual. I also believe the info. that you put in, is for the gas mileage, and stuff, which it also asks how much fuel is in the tank. Maybe it'll...

Best, cheapest domestic vehicle OBDII scanner

I have both the elm 327 dongle, and the torque pro. Also have the harbor freight model, but I went with the $80.00 one. Which seems to be an Autel clone, that does live data. The one thing that I haven't seen mentioned here about the torque pro, is that each car has to be entered into the app...

    Compressor outside questions

Sounds like you're thinking about what it'll take to get the smaller compressor going. When you really need to work on getting the spot set up for the large unit. You can always retro engineer the smaller unit to fit. What I'm suggesting is this. A small unit, will likely use air hose, coming...

Air Compressor Help - Used FS Curtis or New Quincy

Parts in the DFW metroplex are easily found. Can't say about Memphis. A call to Curtis should get a local dealer, who can provide parts. There's not that much to a compressor. So it'd be pretty straightforward. And it shouldn't need much, provided it pumps the tank in the specified time...

Air Compressor Help - Used FS Curtis or New Quincy

I'd rather have a used commercial unit like the Curtis, than a new homeowner model Quincy. Even if it required a rebuild. That being said I think you should keep looking. I don't like the sound of that rust issue.

Connecting my brand new refrigerator ice maker to galvanized pipes

Install an inline filter behind the refrigerator to pre filter the water. Considering the price of most of those filters, that are inside the fridge, it's a lot cheaper. And they're much better filters.
