What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Bought new tires for my '95 Corvette. Decided to go for Z-rated Michelins even though it will never see 150 MPH with me driving. Had it to 125 MPH a few years ago and still climbing but lifted because I was quickly running out of room. Took the wheels off myself, loaded them in my van and...

Neighbors tree got hit the same way 15 years ago. It survives to this day with only the lightning stripe to show where it was hit.

Drained the antifreeze and flushed the system on my daughter's round track car. First practice of the season is this Saturday. She cannot wait to get back in the driver's seat again.

Drivers door on my daily would not stay open. Saw that the door check was broke. GM wanted almost $70, Autozone wanted $42. Took one off a wreck at the local Pull-A-Part for $6. About a half hour worth of work and my door is fixed.

    2020 Garage Sale Thread

For 2020 I have moved the "2020 Garage Sale Thread" up higher in my Bookmarks list so I will see it every time I search for something to surf. I placed it just below my two favorite HAMB sites..."Ford Thunderbolts Photos Wanted" and "NHRA Junior Stock".

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Upgrades to my open car trailer included a new stamped A-frame coupler. The old one was wore out causing it to jump off the 2" ball a couple times. Luckily both times the trailer was empty. First time the safety chains held and I was able to get stopped in the emergency lane. The second time...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Finally purchased new LED lights for the other side of my garage. I have been putting that off for quite a while but after two more fluorescent bulbs went out I said that's it. If your doing the same as me and putting off getting LED lighting...just go ahead and buy the new ones. You will be...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

My 2002 GMC Envoy 4WD has had a rattle coming from the front end for a little while now. Finally checked it out and found a worn sway bar link. I went ahead and replaced the link on each end. Went for a test drive and now there is no rattle. While the Envoy was up in the air I also rotated...

Swapped out the rear spring on a '65 Corvette. Someone had installed a later model fiberglass spring rated at 305#s and it rode way too rough. Original 9 leaf spring is rated at 196#s. I will take it for a test drive tomorrow.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Last week I saw that Menard's had 4 ft LED shop lights for $21.97 each. I bought a couple to try them out. Hung one over the work bench and the other near the front of the garage. I was so impressed by the light they gave off I went back and bought another five to replace the rest of the...

    Yet another LED thread

I built my 42 x 36 garage in 1999. I hung new 4ft T-12 fluorescent lights and was happy with them over the years. As the years passed I replaced burned out bulbs every so often figuring that was the normal thing to do. When the units started wearing out I began replacing them one at a time...
