I have a few Larin locking plier clamps purchased for welding projects. They do the job as intended without any issues. They aren't finished as well as vise grips but for something that ends up with a bunch of welding slag on it, doesn't bother me.
As has been stated before, get the craftsman industrial in the sears supply chain. It doesn't seem to be selling that great with the industrial supply houses and I wonder how well summit racing is doing with the line now.
