    The reason that I asked is because the Humidifier and lamp are both plugged into an outlet on the side of the furnace. When the blower is off the humidifier still makes noise and the lamp stays on.

    Hello, I'm a homeowner. I have just had my furnace replaced. There is a Honeywell humidifier and a U.V. lamp on it. They were wired to stay on even when the furnace is off. The installer said it will put more humidity into the air this way. It doesn't seem right to me. What say you?
