Toolgrid is worth considering too. Not the cheapest option around, but I can't recommend it enough. The magnetic harbor freight rails are really nice too. I still use them for all my impact stuff

Way too many... 56v Ego, M18, M12, Ryobi 18v, Hypertough 12v, and Hercules 20v. If I was starting again, I'd probably just do Ego, and Hercules. It gets annoying having the whole top of my tool box clogged up with different batteries and chargers

Worth going back and checking out the torque test channel comparison on these again, if you’re in the market. Or just curious how the results line up with project farm. Spoiler, Proto did exceptionally good for them as well.

Awesome deal. I just paid $90 for the same set on eBay, and felt like I stole them. I almost kept my cmans for the open ends like n8n said, but then I realized I have gearwrenches that will work just as well.

That's a bit of an overstatement... The big ratchet + socket kits are China, and kinda crappy. The normal ratchets and sockets are still Taiwan as far as I know though, and still very, very good. Not sure about the wrenches

I guess I'll be the first to ask.... Why??? Was the old design known as a weak point? Is it really worth the added bulk?
