All ratcheting box ends are bulkier than their non ratcheting equivalents. My main gripe about them.

I thought about it but I know I’d try every other size but the one I wanted.

I've stopped buying SAE tools, full stop. I have the basics (sockets, combo wrenches, allen wrenches) and haven't come across a situation where I needed more...ever.

I know other people have different needs, but for me, SAE is dead.

I've considered this Facom set (metric), but never pulled the trigger . . .

Here it is @ultgar's site in the U.S.

I’m kind of the same way with Metric. I have a basic set of sockets and wrenches. That’s all I need.

SAE, on the other hand, I keep buying.

I've been having pretty decent luck with a bunch of cheap "duratech" stuff off amazon.
I was thinking about grabbing this set to try out, but I already have enough others...

Personally I would avoid the 4 in 1. Ratcheting wrench are bulky enough, without making the head twice as thick

Hey if S-K is now made by the Duratech people it can't be bad, right?

Honestly I bought a set of throwaway Duratech wrenches they were satisfactory.

I seem to find a use for SAE pretty equally with Metric these days.

Of course metric is heavily used in automotive and bikes. SAE around the house and any industrial equipment such as welding regulators etc. Anyways, I think the advise was sort of what I figured, probably bulky just go for regular ratcheting wrenches if you end up needing them.

Interestingly I feel like all my specialty tools for automotive use SAE, so I keep finding a need for them. Front shock and struct tool from Lisle is SAE, astro on car wheel bearing press, astro hub, drum, rotor puller is SAE etc. The fasteners used on the car are metric but the tools/pullers are all SAE.

I have a full set of metric tools from many decades ago but these days almost everything I work on is SAE. Other than automotive, most industries have yet to switch over in the US.

Years ago, I bought the Gear Wrench stubbies and are happy with them. I personally would not buy regular length ratcheting wrenches that's what regular wrenches are for. The stubbies work well in tight locations.

I have a set of those 4 in 1 ratchet wrench’s in my road box to save space. They’re great when they fit, but at home I would always go for separate wrench’s.

If you work on SAE stuff it’s definitely worth having a set, when I bought a classic that had imperial fasteners, I went and bought the matching set to my metric ones and it’s saved a ton of time. They’re still very shiney compared to my 20yo metric ones which look like they’ve been in a war, but that’s just a reflection of how much metric stuff I see by comparison.

I have these and they are great for a tool bag that is portable.

I've always wanted this Rauckman Utility BugWrench but am not willing to pay that much for it:
1/2 x 5/8, 9/16 x 3/4
Be nice if a 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 7/16 version was available too.

Yeah, it does seem to be getting that way for me, too.
