Sanity check on cost for gutter

Got a quote for my house, Northwest Indiana area. About 280' of gutter and 8 downspouts was $4000. Had a second estimate within a few hundred dollars of that.

    Weber Genesis owners using GrillGrates?

I'm using them on a much older genesis, a 'Silver B'. I like them. I keep two flipped to the griddle side and the other three for grilling. Made a HUGE difference in flare ups.

    Garage workshop insulation

I'm fortunate in that I have R38 already in the attic over the garage. Last time we re-roofed the house we installed ridge vent, so plenty of venting.

    Garage workshop insulation

No returned air from the garage. The well pump tank and water softener are located in the garage and these registers spill out behind their location.

    Garage workshop insulation

We are converting one bay of our three car garage to a workshop for my wife's embroidery and heat printing business. Plan to install a mini split to heat and cool the space (pretty small, about 180 sq. Ft ). The existing exterior wall is 2x6 construction and well insulated with a brick veneer...

    The Everything 3D Printer Thread

Well, I ended up pulling the trigger on a Creality CR-10 mini. Not so mini on print size, 11.8" x 8.6"x 11.8". Arriving tomorrow, so I'll have the weekend to play. I'm sure I'll be back with comments and questions. Will scour thingiverse for now, but want to learn to model for myself. I've...

    The Everything 3D Printer Thread

Hi all, I've been considering the purchase of a 3D Printer for the last year. Got a new influx of cash following birthday and Christmas. How important is build volume? I realize this is determined by what I want to print, but I don't yet know what all I might print. Starting off with some...

    Holding Flashlight For Dad

Love this thread! Another kid here that held the flashlight/trouble light wrong. My dad was a self-employed plumber/hvac guy. I started working for him evenings and weekends at age 9. Learned what the nickname 'gopher' stood for - go for that tool, pipe, etc. He always got a kick out of...

    Mower recommendation?

I second the recommendation for a Grasshopper with a front mount deck. Bought a used one three years ago and have not regretted it a day since.

    Fluke test leads

Any suggestions on what brand test leads I should be looking at for my Fluke 179 meter? The reviews I read on Amazon for the Fluke 'premium' test leads don't sound so good. Is Pomona any better, or same same? Thanks! Sent from my LG-H918 using Tapatalk

    2018 Lowe's deals/sales/clearance thread

Thanks for the heads up on these. I picked up enough for my 4 two-tube fixtures in the garage. Only changed out one pair so far, but a world of difference over the aging, half burnt out fluorescents that were there. I had been looking for awhile, but was still seeing prices over $10 a tube...
