Fibre sheething on ceilings and walls

Just spoke with a buddy who drywalls, and noticed a fibre material use on his last couple jobs... He said that it gets stapled to the trusses and studs just before the vapour barrier, once on you can spray in insulation and it won't puff out/down... allowing you to do drywall at a later date...

    My 2 car garage remodel

Another dog food idea is this... purchase a few stackable totes, one for dog food, one for rags, etc. etc.... make that space usable. Heres a link of what I'm talkin' bout. http://www.suncast.com/productdisplay.aspx?id=295&pid=64

How did you pour your concrete to prevent heat loss

What are the thoughts and ideas on "ICF" (insolated concrete forms) ? Hope I'm not highjacking CBR9seadoo, thats not my intent.

How did you pour your concrete to prevent heat loss

Great thread... And as I'm going to pour in the spring, I'll opt for option #4. One major selling point to number 4 for me is... a sill wall. Is there huge benefits to insulating the exterior walls on the outside, or would trapped moisture hinder the long term dexterity of the concrete?

Other than engine/****** oil, do you change your fluids?

Brake fluid is one of those things that gets overlooked, if your fluid turns dark in colour it may be time to swap it out with some new stuff... I just did mine after 3 years of just topping it up. Same idea goes with power steering... the fluid molicules will actually break down and not be as...

    In Floor Radiant Heat

yeah, thats how my contactor explained it, but I may go about 3" below the level of the floor. I'm not building til spring, so I should find out the details before then. Maybe some ideas from the pros would help.

    In Floor Radiant Heat

Cartw1 I have researched radient heating as well, and with Ontario winters, I have learned that using 2" insulation down the inside of your walls is critical. Trick is to rip the top edge (of the insulation) on a 45 degree angle, snap a chalkline where your floor will be, and place the...

    Should I pour before winter?

Good idea VHF, I had a 10x20 a few years back, and it lasted 3.5 years... maybe I should just get a small one for essentials, and sell it when I'm done with it. Thanks for the ideas, and help guys.

    Should I pour before winter?

Ha yeah... funniest thing about spending the dough on something shiny, is that after the purchase, I wouldn't have anyplace (indoors) to park it. And believe me, I've already been joking about a corvette. LOL Dang, I'm wondering if my concrete guy is a member here... He called and left...

    Should I pour before winter?

Yes, thats canadian currency... but being 93cents on the dollar, theres not much difference. I think I've decided to find a more reliable concrete guy...( maybe me accepting the highest quote was a mistake). And starting the build in the spring. ha ha ha maybe theres a sale on tarps...

    Should I pour before winter?

Sadly I am contemplating calling off the build for this year. I can't place orders until I have concrete... OH door is 2-3 weeks, trusses are 3-4 weeks, beam is one week, plumbers take a week to book, and then theres the steel shingles, yada yada yada. I'm rather distraught about the whole...
