    Removing decals off carbon fiber

Yes, Goo Gone has not worked. I think, if I want them removed, I need to sand (and not go deep to disturb the carbon fibers themselves) and then paint/clear..

    Removing decals off carbon fiber

I’ve recently purchased some carbon fiber bicycle wheels and would like to remove the decals. In the past, some acetone has cleared up the decals enough to. It be noticeable. Today, I tried acetone, paint thinner and disc brake cleaner on a spot to try to get it off to no success. I even used a...

Good way to organize sockets in a travel toolbox

Lots of good options! FWIW the sockets I have are mostly bits ( https://drpd.cc/tool-shop/ratchets-sockets/1-4-sockets-accessories/pb-swiss-1-4-hex-bit-sockets-pb-v6-210/ ) , so that Atlas 46 variety looks great for that.

Good way to organize sockets in a travel toolbox

I picked up this toolbox with pallets. Love it because I don’t need to cut foam and can put tools in various places- there’s a divided section under the flat pallet you see that will get some foam for some bike tools that I don’t want bouncing around, or they’ll go in a tool roll and take up...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

I mostly work on bicycles and small bits, so I don't need as big of a vice that I currently have. I dont really know where to even begin with "what size" ? https://uniortools.com/eng/product/721-6-irongator-engineer-s-vice#128659 I like this, but it's also quite expensive..

TOYO Steel small toolboxes from Japan

Yes, shipping from japan is a lot because 1. it shows up here fast and 2. it's a big box. Check Ace Hardware! They dont have any listed on their site but the one here in Washtenaw County seems to stock - my guess is they can order some in. otherwise..Trusco seems to have the same from Amazon.

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

I really like the pack out stuff. I have no need for a real mobile carrier or organizer, and it actually makes it kind of difficult to figure out where to put what but once I get around that hurdle I like that it forces me to stay organized. The hardest part for me currently is that I want to...

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

I’ll preface this by saying I know nothing about sockets and why some are impact rated and others not, I believe it's due to how their made and what resists the forces of impact wrenches/drivers and which are more prone to stress fracture? My M12 impact (2554) has a friction ring on the...
