    Rotary lift repair

No go on the drilling, not sure how this part was heat treated but it is unbelievably tough! But no worries. A little bit of heat, the wire wheels and a lot of patience with the tap and now they're cleaned up! Thanks all!

    Rotary lift repair

I've already tried chisels, picks and heat. no luck so far... the tap won't start into the threads without a really high torque...and i'm worried about breaking the tap! My next thought is to use an aggressive ID wire wheel to try to break the bits loose.

    Rotary lift repair

Morning, I've got an issue on my rotary lift...thought i'd post the problem here to see if anyone has some insight. it's a 2 post inground lift (9000 lb). While removing the top plate from 1 of the cylinders, the bolt broke off. it's a 3/4-10. I used a magnetic drill press to drill it...

    My new garages

my plan for my garage (The beige one) has always been to remove 75% of the second floor leaving only a mezzanine. this will get me additional ceiling height to lift my cars and also allow a trolley on the (upcoming) steel beam. with that in mind I've been watching for some high bay lights to...

so things are progressing. building 1 (the blue one) is all wired and nearly completely insulated. i spent last week running natural gas to both buildings, new dedicated 100 amp service to the beige building along with a complete rewire (with dedicated compressor and welder circuits) and i...
