    Identify this material?

I figured this was the most appropriate place to ask this question. So I am a watchmaker by trade, tinkerer/woodworker/cheapskate by hobby. :D My tool supply house charges $26 for this bench mat and while I find it very useful for holding my tools in place on my bench I cant help but wonder...

Anyone seen any CM sliding miter saw deals?

Just walked through my local HD and they had the Ridgid 12" slider on sale for $399 from $499.

30% off at Zoro tools - 3 hrs only Today

I picked up the saw last year at the 40% off sale. For the money I am not sure it can be beat. Its not as nicely finished in some areas as the Ridgid R4512 (same say made by dayton) but for almost $200 less I was willing to look past that. One thing I will say is forget about the stock miter...

    4th of July sale @CPO

I was told by 2 separate sales reps from Cpomilwaukee that they were having website problems with the code working and it was best to phone the order in so they could apply the coupon correctly .

    $45 off $100 Bosch @ Amazon - YMMV

I placed 5 separate orders last night for L-Boxx's and all of them have shipped for me. Honestly, I almost felt bad while I was doing it. :p

40% off and free shipping at Zoro tools

I was planning on buying the ridgid R4512 in the near future as an upgrade to my small shop but just couldn't pass this deal up: $337 Shipped Turns out, Dayton is the OEM for the Ridgid R4512 and the Craftsman 21833. Here's hopping I don't have the trunnion issues that some complain about! :)

    12v / 10.8v Cordless Reciprocating Saw Opinions

I guess the idea was to see how each saw performed out of the box with what is included. I'm ordering the DEWALT next week as I already have their 12 and 20v line. Ill let you know how it goes

    I need sawhorses

http://www.sears.com/toughbuilt-c470-sawhorse-and-jobsite-table/p-00948418000P I have been eyeing these up for a little while. I played with them in store and they are solid, plus they can easily go together to make a workbench.

Dewalt vs Craftsman Cordless for Homeowner use

Everything I have read from DeWalt says that they have no intention getting rid of the 18v XRP line and that the 20v line was not meant to compete with the 18v line but rather be sold in tandem. Maybe that will change in the future but for now it appears to be the case.

Dewalt vs Craftsman Cordless for Homeowner use

20v is the voltage of the battery full charged under no load, they are in fact 18v lion batteries under load. DeWalt came up with the new nomenclature to avoid confusion with there current 18v lineup. Sometimes I think it just adds to the confusion but that's neither here nor there. TS, One...

Dewalt vs Craftsman Cordless for Homeowner use

I started out with bosch 12v and their newer 18v lion drills / impact drivers. Thought they were powerful, ergonomic, until I got a good deal on DeWalts 12v and 20v line. For the homeowner there is going to be very little the DeWalt 12v's cant do. The ergonomics on them is incredible and they...

Any other narrow side cabinets like this Proto?

I am building a new watchmakers bench from scratch. Traditional benches have a bank of drawers on one side that hold all of my supplies/tools. Rather than deal with wood drawers that just don't seem to hold up to the abuse I thought it could be interesting to base my design off of a tool chest...
