Just walked through my local HD and they had the Ridgid 12" slider on sale for $399 from $499.

I picked up the saw last year at the 40% off sale. For the money I am not sure it can be beat. Its not as nicely finished in some areas as the Ridgid R4512 (same say made by dayton) but for almost $200 less I was willing to look past that. One thing I will say is forget about the stock miter...

I was told by 2 separate sales reps from Cpomilwaukee that they were having website problems with the code working and it was best to phone the order in so they could apply the coupon correctly .

I placed 5 separate orders last night for L-Boxx's and all of them have shipped for me. Honestly, I almost felt bad while I was doing it. :p

I was planning on buying the ridgid R4512 in the near future as an upgrade to my small shop but just couldn't pass this deal up: $337 Shipped Turns out, Dayton is the OEM for the Ridgid R4512 and the Craftsman 21833. Here's hopping I don't have the trunnion issues that some complain about! :)

I guess the idea was to see how each saw performed out of the box with what is included. I'm ordering the DEWALT next week as I already have their 12 and 20v line. Ill let you know how it goes

Everything I have read from DeWalt says that they have no intention getting rid of the 18v XRP line and that the 20v line was not meant to compete with the 18v line but rather be sold in tandem. Maybe that will change in the future but for now it appears to be the case.

20v is the voltage of the battery full charged under no load, they are in fact 18v lion batteries under load. DeWalt came up with the new nomenclature to avoid confusion with there current 18v lineup. Sometimes I think it just adds to the confusion but that's neither here nor there. TS, One...
