    Concrete Steps Skim Coating

Thanks again for everyone's feedback. This is brand new concrete that was poured last year, so nothing old. He charged me around $3,800 in cash. For high spots, I could take the carbide stone to it. It seems like everyone is saying just to leave it alone.

    Concrete Steps Skim Coating

Wow, if you guys think this is acceptable, I wont touch it then. It held up fine over the winter, so it sounds like it might actually be worse to skim coat it vs just leaving it. Appreciate the feedback.

    Concrete Steps Skim Coating

Morning! A friend recommend me this "great concrete contractor." I gave the guy a shot and dreadfully regret it. Since this was last year and I have had time to cool down, can I get my steps skim coated to make them smooth? Would it last? Even though I live in MN, I never put salt down as it...

    Anyone a Manager/Director of Facilities?

Hey Tommy - Would you be open to discussing what you have seen over the last 20 years? I'm more focused on financials as well, but I'd like to gain experience from what others are seeing.

    Garage Door Bottom Seal Gap

That's what we did as well. Put backer rod in to expand. Helped a little but not enough. I used a wooden garage door seal on my last aluminum garage door and it worked great.

    Garage Door Bottom Seal Gap

How would someone blend the patch to look right the old concrete? I just imagine a mismatch looking mess.

    Garage Door Bottom Seal Gap

Mice, snow, and rain would be the problem. I get what your saying though.

    Garage Door Bottom Seal Gap

The gap was not there on the previous garage door but it was not leveled either. In fact it came down at such and angle to compensate that it crushed it a little bit. Also, wouldn't patch look like *** and not match?

    Garage Door Bottom Seal Gap

New garage door installed today and now I have a gap. We have tried to adjust the garage door and shoved filler in the bottom seal which did not solve it. I have around a 1/4" exposed that I need to seal. The garage door is squared but the concrete has settled in this spot. Garage door company...

    Water Heater Warranty

I have natural gas. I believe these are electric which would be costly to convert over.

    Water Heater Warranty

Actually, I just read something. Since I have hard water, I want the aluminized rod vs magnesium. Magnesium is great for soft water but horrible for hard water and can make a rotten egg smell? Is this true that I would want the 6 year warranty with the standard aluminized rod vs magnesium?
